Notification of the shared holiday queue operation schedule during the Golden Week period

To all users,
Thank you very much for using our Center’s system.
As notified previously, we have started operation of a shared holiday queue (holiday.q) in consideration of the electric power supply circumstances in areas supplied by Tokyo Electric Power Company. Details about the holiday.q will be provided in a later section.
According to the calendar, on May 2 (Mon.) and May 6 (Fri.),holiday.q operation will not apply during the day. However, it is expected that power demands will not be high; thus, these days will be subjected to holiday.q operation. holiday.q can be used during the following period through the Golden Week period.
22:00, April 28 (Fri.) to 6:00, May 9 (Mon.)
This will enable utilization from April 28 through May 9 without returning of the jobs in execution by holiday.q at 6 o’clock on May 2 and May 6.
However, jobs in execution by holiday.q will be returned at 6 o’clock on May 9 and re-executed from the beginning by mojobs.q.
Furthermore, failures may occur when jobs are executed in high volumes. A problem during the consecutive holidays may disable the system for a long period. Please execute job testing in advance with reference to the following:

Period of use: 22:00 on Friday to 6:00 on Monday
* The period of use may vary depending on consecutive holidays, etc.
Upper limit of execution period: 48 hours
Maximum slot number: 2,272
Charging system: Anyone can use all the slots in a similar fashion to mjobs.q.
However, the user needs to pass the Supercomputer License Certification Exam to execute 128 jobs or more simultaneously. The Supercomputer License Certification Exam can be taken at the following site:

Inputting procedure: It can be used in a similar fashion to inputting jobs for normal mjobs.q.
The jobs will be input into holiday.q or mjobs.q, unless an option is specified
as follows:
% qsub [shell script name]
The jobs do not have to be input explicitly into holiday.q.
* Jobs in execution by holiday.q will be returned at 6 o’clock on Monday. The returned jobs will be rescheduled and re-executed from the beginning by mojobs.q.
